The Antwerp World Diamond Centre: the Belgian Diamond Umbrella Organization
Belgium is home to approximately 1,470 diamond companies, collectively employing around 6,000 people. At AWDC, our role is to be a dedicated advocate and dependable service provider for these businesses. We actively represent, protect, and promote Antwerp’s diamond industry both domestically and internationally. Additionally, through Diamond Office, the sole customs office in Belgium authorized for diamond declarations, we regulate and manage all diamond imports and exports, ensuring a secured, controlled and transparent trade within and beyond the EU.
While maintaining the highest standards of compliance and transparency, the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) defends the interests of almost 1500 Belgian Registered Diamond companies and represents them both within Belgium and on the international stage.
Dating back to 1447, Antwerp is one of the world’s oldest diamond trading centers. With compliance, ethics, and transparency deeply embedded in its business strategy and heritage, Antwerp proudly stands as the most trusted diamond trading hub in the world.
